The following examples are a selection of recent successful services to candidates from overseas.
Candidates
Bhaumik Bhatt: This earnest and dedicated man engaged in our onshore Employment Agent service in 2009, following a period of frustration and rejection. One of our Associates marketed him to a range of Employers with vigour and enthusiasm and succeeded in placing Bhaumik with an employer who had previously rejected his several applications. We are happy to send you his full testimonial. You will appreciate it.
Hao: An International Accounting graduate from China, Hao had undertaken a range of unpaid work placements to try and accumulate Australian experience, but had enjoyed no success in securing paid work. We canvassed dozens of Accounting firms, large and small, during what we call our "Momentum" session until we came across one prepared to interview her. She started work the following week and is still going strong, with her employer reporting a great attitude and attention to detail.
Lavesh: A recent arrival from India when we met him early in 2009, Lavesh was desperate to secure "Survival" work to be able to manage his financial situation, as well securing fulltime work to meet the provision of his 475 Visa. Our marketing efforts saw him placed with DM Plastics and he is still going really well.
"Harry": We first met Harry (Honghai Ju), a Welder, in Qingdao, China, in mid 2007. Harry had thoughts about a plan to migrate to Australia for several years and the Australian Government requirement for Functional English from July 1 2007 made him realise that he needed to make a move (not that he didn't have reasonable use of English but he was worried he would not pass the written element). Harry's welding test, conducted by Catapult People and overseen by a senior TAFE manager and Boilermaker by trade, was excellent, and we elected to offer him a sponsorship under the sublass 457 Visa for our client, Stevens Resources. Harry, together with nine of his countrymen from various parts of China, arrived in Adelaide, South Australia, in October 2007 and commenced working with Host Employer, Custom Coaches. He has now been joined by his wife and continues to make a significant contribution to the output of his Host Employer. By early 2010, Harry will qualify to apply for his Permanent Resident Visa and we feel sure that he will continue to make a significant contribution to the future of Australia. Well done Harry.
"Eric" Fan: Eric, originally from China, was a subclass 495 Visa holder when we met him in Adelaide. His Independent, but provisional, Visa status meant that he needed to find 12 months fulltime work to be able to qualify for his application for Permanent Residency. We managed to find this work for him with several long term clients, in positions where he could apply his Electrical expertise and qualifications. Eric's employer loves his work and all going well, he will achieve his life goals.
"Kamaljit": This lovely young man from India found his way to Adelaide via a Student Visa, but was desperate to secure work in his field of Civil Engineering. We canvassed our valued client, PMP Bitumen (now Fulton Hogan), for interest and they were prepared to take him on for the permissible 20 hours per week (as per the conditions of the Student Visa). Within two weeks, PMP asked us to arrange for Kamaljit to be sponsored on a subclass 457 Temporay Long Stay Business Visa, providing for fulltime work rights. His Visa is now approved and he is a step further on the pathway to Permanent Residency.
