About Us

Catapult People was founded by Patrick Comerford in 2004 when he saw opportunities to do a better job than others in initiating training programmes and job placements for long term unemployed Australians. Catapult People still performs these services, but since 2006 has also evolved to become a specialist in skilled migration strategies and sourcing the best candidates from overseas.

Patrick has travelled overseas five times in the last two years to develop in-country agent arrangements and to recruit for employers from Australia, the most recent involving a 33 day, 9 country, 24 City effort in February/March 2008. He assessed and interviewed over 130 candidates, with twenty of these now in Australia and working for sponsoring Australian employers. A further 32 will arrive before Christmas 2008.

Catapult People has a charter to change the lives of people, and this applies to skilled overseas workers who want to make a better life in Australia, as well as Australian employers who are seeking better supply of suitable skilled workers and improved productivity levels within their businesses (makes their lives easier).

Patrick leads a team of highly dedicated staff and contractors, with the same values for the respect of the individual and client rights as he does. We spend lots of time staying in front of changes to rules and regulations so we can be best placed to help Employers choose the best strategies for successfully accessing good candidates from Australia and overseas.
